Register for a new record check (for volunteers), and the results will be available usually within 24 hours. Be sure to document the control number and the exact name of the person the record check pertains to. Results are retrieved at the same web address using this control number and exact name. This check is quite easy and efficient – often your certificate is available online instantly – it can be printed from your computer.

When asked for the application purpose, there should be a choice for "Volunteer" somewhere. I have not seen this because I always have to pay for mine for education (as a paid employee).
This system will ask for addresses of your past residences and listings of everyone you have lived with since 1975. It stipulates that you should provide this information “as best you can recall.” After entering information, including your credit card details, you may select results in the form of an e-mail and/or a hard mailed copy.
Make sure that you are applying under "Volunteer" status so you do not have to pay for them. They are exactly the same as the clearances that must be obtained for education, other than saying "Volunteer" somewhere on them. When you get your clearances/results back, please make a copy and give them to Dave Maher so they are on file with the Chapter. Just like the educations ones, they are good for 5 years, until they need renewed.
